The Wall Street Journal published a story on the Fisher v. University of Texas case earlier this week. The briefing has now concluded in that case, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals should be setting an oral argument date shortly.
PLF filed a amicus brief in the case which was joined by the American Civil Rights Institute, the Center for Equal Opportunity, and the National Association of Scholars. You can read that brief here. You can read more about PLF's involvement here.
Fisher is primed to be a very important case, that could go all the way to the Supreme Court. Even the Obama Administration filed a brief in the Fifth Circuit. I will be doing a couple more interesting posts on the Fisher case in the coming days, so stay tuned.
